The Oyo Central Senatorial Candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has congratulated the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, on his emergence as the APM Presidential candidate in a primary conducted across the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory on Saturday.
Makinde’s emergence is being seen by party supporters as a significant development as the political parties begin preparations and strategic positioning ahead of the next general elections.
The governor was presented with his Certificate of Return by the APM National Chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Dantali, during a ceremony held in Ibadan, which was attended by party leaders, delegates, supporters, and political associates from across the country.
Presenting the certificate, Dantali said Makinde possesses the leadership qualities, experience, and vision needed to provide direction for the country. He called on party members nationwide to rally behind the candidate and intensify grassroots mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
In a statement he issued and personally signed after the primary, Ajadi congratulated Makinde on the victory at the primary.
Ajadi described Makinde’s victory as deserving, saying those who know Makinde’s antecedents in politics and governance are not surprised by the feat he recorded.
Ajadi said the victory is a testimony to Makinde’s quality leadership and dedication to the upliftment of Nigeria’s democracy.
He said with Makinde’s Emergence, the APM is ready to take over the reins of power come 2027.
Ajadi, a philanthropist, said APM with Makinde as the Presidential Candidate will improve the lives of Nigerians and rescue them from the hardship bestowed on them in the last three years.
He said the APM will change the political scenario in Nigeria in 2027.
