The troops of 65 Battalion, Nigerian Army, have dismantled a suspected illegal bunkering site in the Orile area of Lagos State and arrested no fewer than six suspects.
The Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, 81 Division, Lieutenant Colonel Musa Yahaya, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
Yahaya said the troops acting on credible intelligence raided the bunkering site and arrested six suspected oil bunkerers.

Yahaya said the operation also led to the recovery of four trucks, one pumping machine, and assorted pipes and drums allegedly used for illegal bunkering activities.
He added that the suspects and recovered items have been handed over to the officers the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, for further necessary action.
