Troops of the 65 Battalion of the Nigerian Army have dismantled a suspected illegal bunkering site in the Orile area of Lagos State, arresting six suspects during an intelligence-led operation.
The operation, conducted under the leadership of the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel S. Adeojo, followed credible intelligence on alleged illegal oil bunkering activities in the area.
According to the Army, the raid led to the recovery of four trucks, a pumping machine, and assorted pipes and drums believed to have been used for the illegal operation.

The suspects, along with the recovered items, have been handed over to the Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Commending the troops, the General Officer Commanding 81 Division, Major General Adebayo Abdulrahman Babalola, urged them to sustain operations against economic sabotage and other criminal activities within the division’s area of responsibility.
