Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, has shared how he became convinced that his wife was the right partner for him, describing her thoughtfulness and selflessness as qualities that attracted him from the beginning.
Speaking at a Women’s Fellowship gathering at a Pentecost church, in a video shared on X on July 17, 2026, Dr Amoakohene recalled how his wife showed care and concern, especially when it came to money.
He said that whenever he sent her money, she sometimes returned part of it after realising that he also needed financial support.
“I immediately knew she would be of help to me the very first time I met her. In those days, whenever I sent her money and didn’t call or text, she would ask why. I would explain that I didn’t have data or airtime, and she would remind me that I was sending her money even when I barely had enough myself. Then she would ask if she should send me some back. Often, she would divide what I sent her into two and return half to me,” he narrated.
Dr Amoakohene added that her care went beyond financial matters. He said she also paid attention to his decisions and questioned him when she felt he was spending money on things that were not necessary.
“Sometimes, when I stepped out and bought certain items, she would question why I chose things she considered unimportant. Those little acts of care and thoughtfulness convinced me that she would indeed make a good wife,” he said.
