Aston Villa have completed the signing of Japan goalkeeper Zion Suzuki from Parma for an initial €30 million, with a further €5 million available in add-ons, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Romano announced the deal on X, saying: “After Matteo Ruggeri, also Zion Suzuki announced as new Aston Villa player. Deal done at €30m plus €5m add-ons from Parma.”
The transfer represents another major addition to Villa’s squad as the club continues to strengthen ahead of the new season.
Suzuki, 24, joined Parma from Belgian side Sint-Truiden in 2024 and established himself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.

The Japan international’s move to Villa follows the arrival of Italian defender Matteo Ruggeri, with the Premier League club continuing to reshape its squad in the transfer window.
Romano also indicated that Villa’s transfer activity is not over, revealing that “Up next: Aaron Wan-Bissaka.”
Wan-Bissaka, the former Manchester United right-back, is therefore expected to be the next target as Villa look to further strengthen their defensive options.
