Benue South ADC unveils aspirants ahead of 2027 elections

Benue South African Democratic Congress (ADC) stakeholders and aspirants have reaffirmed their unity and readiness for the election cycle.

This was disclosed during a strategic meeting held at the zonal headquarters in Otukpo.

The high-level gathering brought together aspirants contesting various positions, including State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, and governorship, representing all nine local government areas of the zone.

The meeting served as a platform for formally unveiling the aspirants and strengthening coordination among party stakeholders.

Central to the discussions was a message of assurance from the party’s National Chairman, David Mark, who reiterated that despite recent legal challenges, the ADC remains firmly positioned for success.

He assured members and supporters that the party would not only overcome its current hurdles but would also be fully on the ballot in all forthcoming elections.

In a remark, a leader of the party, Sir John Ngbede, said the meeting was both timely and strategic as the party prepares for the 2027 election.

He said the party is focused on consolidating unity, reviewing ongoing grassroots mobilisation efforts, and mapping out a clear roadmap ahead of upcoming political engagements.

The meeting witnessed the presence of key stakeholders within the party, including the State Party Chairman, Rt. Hon. Samson Okwu; the Secretary of the State Leadership Team, Prof. David Salifu; Senatorial aspirant, Dr. David Olofu; as well as notable figures such as Chris Adaba Abah and Mrs Abeje Egwa, among others.

Participants engaged in robust deliberations focused on party unity, grassroots mobilisation, and strategic positioning ahead of the elections, with a resolve to consolidate the ADC’s growing influence in the zone.

The unveiling of aspirants stood out as a major highlight of the event, symbolising cohesion, preparedness, and renewed optimism within the party as it intensifies efforts towards electoral victory.
