Controversial Nigerian influencer, Blessing Okoro Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has returned to Instagram weeks after deactivating her account amid backlash over her claim of battling stage four breast cancer.
A check on her page shows that she has deleted all posts related to the cancer claim, including interviews and materials previously shared to support the diagnosis.
The controversy began in January when Blessing CEO announced she had been diagnosed with stage four breast cancer and appealed for financial assistance, backing her claim with what she described as a medical report.
However, Xinus Medical Diagnostics disputed the authenticity of the document, alleging that it had been altered. The centre stated that the original report belonged to one Deborah Mbara and was issued in May 2025.
Mbara, a makeup artist and cancer survivor, later spoke publicly, alleging that Blessing CEO had used her medical report without consent.
Following the development, Mbara’s family petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), accusing the influencer of cyberbullying, forgery and running a fraudulent fundraising scheme.
The petition claimed that over N300 million was raised from members of the public under false pretences.
The Nigerian Cancer Society also called for a full investigation into the matter and urged relevant authorities to ensure accountability.
Blessing CEO had deactivated her Instagram account shortly after the controversy escalated but has now reactivated it, with only a documentary-style post on breast health awareness still visible.
As of the time of filing this report, she has not publicly addressed the allegations following her return to social media.
