According to a report by Times of Israel, on Friday June 19, 2026, Iran’s chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has declared that any future talks with the United States will remain strictly bound by Tehran’s “red lines,” warning that the Islamic Republic stands ready to deliver a forceful response to any party that oversteps those boundaries.
Speaking in remarks carried by the official IRNA news agency, Ghalibaf said Iran has consistently honored the principles guiding its negotiating stance and would continue to do so going forward.

He stated that Iran has already demonstrated its readiness to act decisively if provoked.
“If the enemy seeks to be excessive, we have proven that our fingers are on the trigger and we have no hesitation in giving a crushing response to the enemy,” he added.
Ghalibaf’s comments come amid renewed attention on Iran’s approach to negotiations with Washington, with Tehran repeatedly signaling that any engagement must respect the boundaries it considers non-negotiable.
