According to report by Nigerian Tribune on Saturday, July 11, 2026, Yoruba nation activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has praised the Federal Government for refusing to pay ransom to secure the release of the abducted pupils and teachers from Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, describing the decision as a firm stand against terrorism.
In a statement released through his media aide, Igboho said the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu demonstrated its determination to discourage kidnapping by rejecting the terrorists’ ransom demand.
