According to a report by Arise News on Saturday, July 11, 2026, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, gave an update on the condition of the teachers and pupils who were rescued after being abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of the state. Speaking during a press briefing, the governor said the rescued victims would remain under medical observation before being reunited with their families.
