Sources familiar with the operation disclosed that the insurgents have remained under intense surveillance from security agencies, making it increasingly difficult for them to move freely within the forest. Despite this pressure, the terrorists have continued to relocate the hostages frequently in a bid to frustrate rescue efforts and avoid direct confrontation with troops.
A security source explained that the kidnappers are fully aware of the heavy presence of security personnel around the forest and are taking extra precautions to avoid being tracked.
The source said, “They know they are being monitored and that security operatives are everywhere.”
The official added that while the terrorists have managed to keep moving from one location to another, they have been unable to escape the forest due to the deployment of troops around key routes. Security agencies are reportedly maintaining pressure on the group while carefully planning operations to ensure the safety of the abducted pupils and teachers.
