Champion Breweries Plc has reported a strong financial perform ance for 2025, posting a 119 per cent rise in profit after tax to ₦1.79 billion.
Chairman of the company, Imo-Abasi Jacob, disclosed the results at the firm’s 50th Annual General Meeting in Lagos, describing the year as a turning point from recovery to sustained growth.
Revenue climbed by 43 per cent to ₦29.8 billion, driven by improved operations, cost discipline, and strategic expansion initiatives. The company also maintained momentum into 2026, recording a 69 per cent year-on-year increase in first-quarter revenue to ₦14.36 billion, with profit after tax at ₦881 million.
Despite softer consumer demand, the brewer sustained a strong gross margin of 48 per cent, supported by efficiency gains and tighter cost management.
Jacob said a successful rights issue strengthened the company’s capital base and boosted investor confidence, positioning the firm for long-term growth.
Shareholders approved a dividend of seven kobo per share, reflecting improved earnings.
The company also highlighted expansion plans, including acquiring a controlling stake in the Bullet brand portfolio to diversify revenue and tap into faster-growing beverage segments.
