Basit “Joker Boy” Adebayo produced a devastating performance on Saturday night, knocking out Said Mohamed Hassan in the second round of their bout at the Chaos in the Ring event held at the Balmoral Event Hall, Federal Palace, Lagos.
Adebayo dominated the contest from the opening bell before sealing victory with a second-round knockout, despite initially predicting the fight would last until the fifth round.
Speaking after the victory, an elated Adebayo thanked God and reflected on his preparation for the bout.
“First of all, I want to thank Allah. I didn’t know round two was the round. I promised him round five. I prepared for this fight, and I was determined to face off with him,” he said.
The Nigerian boxer also declared his ambition to become the country’s leading figure in the sport.

“I’m ready to be the face of Nigeria. I think I am currently the face of boxing in Nigeria,” Adebayo added.
