The Credit for Computers, Internet, Connectivity, and Knowledge Digital Devices Programme (C.L.I.C.K.D), which was just announced by the Federal Government, is now taking applications from Nigerians looking for inexpensive, credit-based access to computers, smartphones, and tablets.
The programme, implemented by the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP) in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, was unveiled on Tuesday in Abuja by the Minister, Dr. Bosun Tijani, and CREDICORP’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Uzoma Nwagba.
C.L.I.C.K.D. is intended to assist Nigerians in purchasing digital gadgets through structured, spread-out payments rather than paying the full cost upfront, beginning with locally made computers as CREDICORP prioritises local production.
How to Apply for the Consumer Credit Scheme
Step 1: Visit the official C.L.I.C.K.D. landing page.
Step 2: Select “I’m Interested.” This will lead you to the application form.
Fill out the required information:
- Select your state of residence from among the 36 states and the FCT.
- What best defines you: employee (salary earner), freelancer/self-employed, business owner, student, job seeker, or NYSC member.
- Monthly income (optional) — Prices range from around ₦100,000 to over ₦1,000,000.
- Applicants identify their participation in one of the following digital talent programmes: 3MTT, Andela Learning Community, Learn2Earn, ALX, HNG Internship, AltSchool Africa, Genesys Tech Hub, or “Other.”
- Device required: laptop, smartphone, tablet, or other.
- Reason for the device – candidates have several possibilities, including learning and certifications, work/remote employment, freelancing, business growth, school, software development, content production, and others.
- How did you learn about C.L.I.C.K.D. — 3MTT? Through social media, a friend or family member, school, your employer, a Google search, or another source.
Step 3: Confirm and consent. Before submitting, applicants must check three boxes: verifying the accuracy of the information submitted, accepting to be contacted about the application, and allowing CREDICORP and its partners to use their information to determine eligibility.

Qualifications for the Consumer Credit Scheme
The current 1,000-laptop pilot is only open to fellows of the Federal Government’s Three Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Program, through which C.L.I.C.K.D. was established as a national pilot.
Nwagba stated that the rollout began in Abuja, with 77 beneficiaries receiving gadgets, with the remainder of the computers being delivered to qualified colleagues in other states in phases.
CREDICORP has a long record of taking a staged approach, with its primary consumer credit plan launching in April 2024 and first targeting federal civil officials before expanding its scope.
The application form’s coverage extends beyond 3MTT, listing Andela Learning Community, Learn2Earn, ALX Africa, HNG Internship, AltSchool Africa, and Genesys Tech Hub as talent-programme options, implying that these fellows may also be eligible to apply, despite CREDICORP’s public statements referring to only 3MTT beneficiaries for the current 1,000-laptop batch.
CREDICORP has also not disclosed the particular interest rates, payback terms, or down payment structure for C.L.I.C.K.D. loans.
