A new experimental train in China has reached a speed of about 1,000 km/h during testing. This ultra-high-speed train runs inside a low-pressure tube and uses magnetic levitation (maglev) to float above the track. Because of this technology, the train can go from 0 to 1,000 km/h in a very short time. At such speeds, a journey like Delhi to Patna could be completed in around 1 hour. A new ultra-high-speed train has officially become the fastest train in the world. It has the power to move at a speed where it almost becomes invisible to the human eye.

The train is officially called the Ultra-High-Speed Low Vacuum Maglev Transport System. It runs on Magnetic Levitation (Maglev) technology inside a low-vacuum tube. The vacuum tube removes air resistance, while the magnetic system lifts the train above the track, allowing it to move at extreme speeds smoothly and silently.
1000 kmph speed test cleared

According to reports, this high-speed train has reached a top speed of 1000 km/h during its test run. This train can cover the 1200 km distance between Beijing and Shanghai in just about 1 hour 30 minutes. The test has been conducted by the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited (CASIC), and the train has successfully cleared its second test as well.
China now aims for 4000 kmph speed

China is not stopping at 1000 km/h. The country is now planning to push the train’s speed up to a stunning 4000 km/h. Superconducting maglev test lines are already being prepared for this purpose. The plan is to launch this train for public travel between 2027 and 2035.

If this train ever runs in India, travel times will completely change. Passengers will be able to cover the Delhi to Kanpur distance in just 30 minutes, and Delhi to Patna in just 1 hour.
Will it run in India?

As of now, India does not have any plan to bring this 1000 km/h flying train. However, work on India’s first bullet train project is going on at a fast pace. The bullet train will run at a top speed of around 350 km/h, which is still much slower than China’s new flying train.
