A disturbing video circulating on social media shows an unknown lady violently assaulting another lady, reportedly living with a mental health condition, in an incident that has sparked outrage over both the attack itself and the failure of nearby bystanders to step in.
The footage, shared by Ghana News Stand and Daily View GH, shows the altercation unfolding on a busy street lined with parked cars and pedestrians.
According to accounts accompanying the video, the assault was allegedly triggered after the attacker felt disrespected by the mentally challenged woman.
Several onlookers, including men standing nearby, were seen in the footage watching the confrontation without intervening to stop the attack, a detail that has drawn as much criticism online as the assault itself.
