Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri says he has received the endorsement of former councillors from Adamawa North for his bid to represent the senatorial district in the 2027 elections.
Fintiri disclosed this after receiving members of the Forum of Former Councillors (2012–2015) from the M5 axis of Adamawa North at the Government House in Yola.

The governor said the former councillors also provided feedback on ongoing projects across Mubi North, Maiha and Michika, among other areas.
He thanked the group for what he described as their strong endorsement and constructive engagement with his administration.
Fintiri said his administration remained focused on rebuilding communities affected by insurgency and delivering on its key promises to residents.
He also pledged to ensure that outstanding claims were addressed.
The endorsement comes as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Fintiri seeking to move from the Adamawa State Government House to the Senate to represent Adamawa North.
