Flutterwave has entered into a strategic partnership with Activate Success International Foundation (ASIF) to expand youth entrepreneurship and deepen digital financial inclusion across Nigeria, with both organisations aligning efforts under the 2026 edition of the Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Programme (YEEP).
The collaboration positions Flutterwave as Lead Sponsor of YEEP 2026, signalling a coordinated push to address structural gaps in access to finance, business tools, and market opportunities for young Nigerians. The initiative comes at a time when stakeholders continue to emphasise the role of digital infrastructure in formalising Nigeria’s informal economy and improving youth participation in productive ventures.
Anchored on YEEP, the partnership will integrate Flutterwave’s payment ecosystem into the programme, including its cross-border remittance platform, Send App, alongside merchant and transaction solutions. The objective is to equip participants with the capacity to receive payments globally, manage business transactions efficiently, and scale beyond local markets.
Founder and CEO of Flutterwave, Olugbenga Agboola, said the partnership reflects the company’s broader commitment to enabling economic opportunity through technology. “Nigeria’s youthful population is its greatest strength. The ambition is already there, what’s needed is access to the right tools to unlock it. For 10 years, Flutterwave has been building the infrastructure that powers opportunity, helping individuals and businesses transact, grow, and scale across borders,” he said.
Agboola added that the collaboration with ASIF would extend that impact by directly supporting young entrepreneurs with practical tools. “Through this partnership with ASIF, we’re deepening that impact by equipping young entrepreneurs with the tools to build sustainable businesses, while platforms like Send App give them the ability to receive payments globally and connect to opportunities beyond their immediate environment.”
ASIF, which has built a track record in enterprise development through YEEP over the past decade, will provide programme structure, training, mentorship, and funding access. In 2025, the initiative deployed over ₦50 million in grants, both in cash and equipment, to selected participants who submitted viable business proposals. The programme recorded more than 2,000 participants that year, while its wider engagement activities, including NYSC orientation camp activations, reached over 30,000 young people nationwide.
Founder and CEO of ASIF, Love Idoko-Uloko, said the partnership strengthens the foundation’s mission to provide practical support rather than theoretical interventions. “Young Nigerians do not need to be rescued; they need to be resourced. Our work through YEEP has consistently focused on providing real opportunities like funding, skills, and access. Partnering with Flutterwave strengthens this mission and expands the impact for every entrepreneur we support,” she said.
Beyond the main event, both organisations plan to extend programme activities into NYSC orientation camps across Abuja and other states, introducing corps members to digital financial tools, payment systems, and business management capabilities. The move is expected to create early exposure to enterprise development for thousands of graduates entering the workforce.
Nigeria Startup News reports that YEEP 2026 is scheduled to hold on June 8, 2026, in Abuja, with stakeholders positioning the programme as a practical intervention to bridge financing and capacity gaps for young entrepreneurs, while reinforcing the role of fintech-driven solutions in Nigeria’s economic development.
