Former aviation minister Stella Oduah wins APGA Anambra north senatorial primary

Former aviation minister, Stella Oduah has emerged winner of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) senatorial primary election for Anambra north ahead of the 2027 elections.

In a statement issued on Monday, APGA’s national publicity secretary,  Ejimofor Opara, released what he described as the verified results of the primary election conducted across the 99 wards in the senatorial district.

The party said Oduah secured 2,541 votes in Anambra East, 1,639 in Anambra West, 1,668 in Ayamelum, 2,306 in Oyi, 1,140 in Onitsha North, 2,663 in Onitsha South, and 10,119 in Ogbaru. Other aspirants in the race included Dr Alex, Primus and Sir John.

APGA said the election was conducted peacefully across the seven local government areas in the district and that results were announced at ward level.

“While concerns have been raised about some ward outcomes, no results were changed, altered, or swapped at any stage. All results remain as submitted and collated by the duly appointed Collation Officers for the 7 LGAs.

“Aspirants with grievances are advised to use the internal dispute resolution mechanisms provided in the party’s guidelines,” the party stated.

APGA congratulated Oduah on her victory and commended party members for their conduct during the exercise.
