Fresh drone attack sparks new fire at Russia's Tuapse oil refinery

The Tuapse oil refinery in Russia’s southern Krasnodar Krai has reportedly come under another drone attack on Friday, reigniting fires that have been burning intermittently for days, according to local reports and regional officials.

It marks the fourth reported strike on the facility in the past two weeks. Ukraine previously confirmed attacks on Tuapse on April 16, 20, and 28.

Local authorities said a drone attack sparked a fire at the refinery’s marine terminal in the Black Sea coastal town of Tuapse, news portal the Kiev Independent reported.

Residents reported hearing explosions and observing air defence activity, while Russian Telegram channels claimed multiple drones were intercepted over the area.
