Governor Uba Sani has approved a fresh round of appointments involving seasoned professionals, technocrats and political figures as part of efforts to accelerate the implementation of his administration’s development agenda in Kaduna State.
The appointments, announced in a statement issued on Friday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibraheem Musa, are aimed at deepening good governance, improving service delivery and strengthening critical sectors of the state administration.
According to the statement, the newly appointed officials are expected to support the government’s drive toward infrastructural development, peace building, healthcare improvement, agricultural expansion, urban renewal and enhanced stakeholder engagement.
Among the key appointments, Balarabe Muhammad Bello was named Counsellor on Infrastructure, while Danlami Adamu was appointed Special Adviser on Peace and Conflict Resolution.
Hon. Esther Ashievelli Dawaki was appointed General Manager of the Kaduna State Community and Social Development Agency, while Hon. Muhammad Abubakar Mamadi emerged as Special Adviser on Political Matters.
Similarly, Yusuf Salihu was appointed Special Adviser on Urban Planning and Development, while Hon. Yahaya Baba Pate was named Special Adviser on Special Duties.
Other appointments include Abdulrahman Ibrahim as Special Adviser on Citizenship and Leadership, Hamza Ibrahim as Special Adviser on Primary Healthcare Matters, and Muutasim Billah Yusuf as Special Adviser on Debt Management.
Governor Sani also approved the appointment of Bashir Idris Aliyu as Special Adviser on Agricultural Development as part of efforts to strengthen food security and boost agricultural productivity across the state.
In the education and commerce sectors, Tanko Bajo Kokwain was appointed Board Chairman of the Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority, while Shehu Usman Dantudu was named Board Chairman of the Kaduna Market Development and Management Company.
The governor further approved the appointment of several Senior Special Assistants, including Samson Monday Dikko as Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement III, Edward John Auta as Senior Special Assistant on Industrial Training and Development, and Amanda Tanko Usman as Senior Special Assistant on Contact and Mobilization II.
Others are Alhassan Mando, appointed Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties III, and Zubairu Usman Abdullahi, who will serve as Senior Special Assistant on Stakeholder Relations III.
The state government said the appointments reflected Governor Sani’s commitment to assembling a competent and result-oriented team capable of driving his administration’s vision for Kaduna State.
“The appointees are expected to bring their wealth of experience to bear in their new roles,” the statement said.
Mr Sani congratulated the new appointees and charged them to uphold transparency, accountability and integrity in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He urged them to remain focused on policies and initiatives that would directly impact the lives of citizens and contribute to the socio-economic development of the state.
According to the governor, his administration remains committed to transforming Kaduna into a model state through innovation, inclusive governance and people-oriented policies.
Observers say the latest appointments may further consolidate the governor’s efforts to strengthen governance structures and improve coordination across strategic sectors as the administration intensifies implementation of its development programmes.
