Gov Soludo Nominates Mother of Late Kidnapped Victim in Major Cabinet Shake-Up

Mrs. Esther Chinyere Onyekesi, the mother of late businessman Martin Onyekesi, also referred to as “Fish Magnet,” has been named Commissioner nominee for Women Affairs by Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.

Before a ransom could be paid, the late Onyekesi’s body was dumped in another area of Awka by kidnappers who killed him last year.

Protests were spurred by the occurrence, one of which was organized by well-known social media activist Martin Vincent Otse, also referred to as Very Dark Man.

Mrs. Onyekesi, the Women Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, or APGA, in Anambra, resisted attempts by several state contenders for governorship to politicize the murder, maintaining that it had nothing to do with politics.

The most recent event is that the Anambra State House of Assembly Speaker has received a list of commissioner nominees that includes Mrs. Onyekesi’s name for review.
