Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has commended the Department of State Services (DSS) and other security agencies for rescuing a kidnapped victim and arresting three suspects linked to the crime.

The governor’s commendation followed a recent DSS operation in which one suspect was arrested at a criminal hideout in Atabula, Duduguru, in the Jenkwe Development Area, while two others were apprehended at a hotel in Lafia.

The security operatives also destroyed the criminals’ makeshift camp and recovered cash, five mobile phones and other items believed to be connected to the operation.

Sule described the arrests as a demonstration of the security agencies’ effectiveness and commitment to combating crime in the state.

He said: “The arrests demonstrate the effectiveness and dedication of our security agencies in the fight against criminal elements. I urge them to sustain the momentum and remain resolute in protecting the people of Nasarawa State.”

The governor assured the security agencies of his administration’s continued support in the discharge of their responsibilities.

He also urged residents to remain vigilant and provide timely and credible information to security agencies.

According to him, “Collective vigilance and cooperation are essential to maintaining peace and security in our state.”

Sule’s commendation was contained in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Addra, on Thursday.
