A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to share her frustration after a man she met through a mutual friend allegedly blocked her on all platforms shortly after she visited him at her own expense and bought him food.
According to the woman, her friend posted a video of her on WhatsApp status, which caught the attention of a man who expressed interest in her.
When her friend shared his picture, she said she was equally attracted to him and the two began communicating.
She revealed that she paid her own transport fare to visit him and also purchased jollof rice and chicken for him at his request, spending the night at his residence with the expectation that he would reimburse her expenses as he had allegedly promised.
However, when it was time to leave, the man reportedly told her he had no money available as a client had not yet paid him.
Shortly after she returned home, she discovered she had been blocked across all his social media and messaging platforms.
“After eating my jollof rice and chicken, and on top of that, sleeping with me, he still blocked me,” she said, expressing her disbelief and disappointment.
The story has generated significant reactions online, with many social media users advising caution when meeting strangers and warning against spending money on people one barely knows, while others sympathised with the woman’s experience.
