A Nigerian lady has shared her disappointing experience with a man she met on TikTok, claiming he threw her out of his house in the middle of the night after she refused to sleep with him.
According to the lady, they met on TikTok in February and soon began dating. She said the man never asked her for money and even surprised her by buying 500MB of data when she told him she couldn’t afford to be online.
She explained that weeks before her birthday, the man became upset after she greeted him casually and insisted she travel to Osogbo to make peace with him.
Although he had earlier claimed to live in Lagos, he said he was in his hometown at the time.
In her words, partly in Yoruba, she said:
“I paid for my transport to Osogbo. At some point, the bus needed one more passenger before it could leave, and he started shouting at me to pay for it, so I did. When I got there, I was so disappointed. He looked nothing like the person I had imagined.”
The lady alleged that shortly after she arrived, the man repeatedly made sexual advances, which she rejected.
She also claimed the room was untidy and that she had to buy drinks and biscuits because she was not interested in the cold meal he offered her.
“He kept touching me, but I told him I wasn’t interested. Around 12:26 a.m., he packed my bag, threw me out of his house and said if I wouldn’t sleep with him, I should leave,” she added.
Her experience has since generated mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians sharing their opinions on meeting people through social media.
