A young Nigerian woman has sparked widespread concern online after claiming she was left stranded in Lagos by a man she travelled to visit from Ibadan.

The incident, which surfaced on social media on Monday, drew attention as the woman narrated how she had made the trip with expectations of meeting the man, only to be rejected upon arrival.
According to her account, the man allegedly told her to return home, stating that she did not meet his expectations physically, before cutting off all communication.
“I came all the way from Ibadan to Lagos to see him, but when I got there, he said I should go back because I look like a grandma. Now he has blocked me everywhere and I don’t even have money to go back home. Please, I need help,” she said.
Calls for help trigger mixed reactions online
The lady’s plea has since generated mixed reactions, with some social media users expressing sympathy and offering assistance, while others criticised her decision to travel without adequate planning or financial backup.
The situation has also reignited conversations around online relationships and safety concerns.
