Bishop Daniel Obinim has announced an abrupt end to his very public dispute with estranged wife Florence Obinim, declaring that the Holy Spirit has instructed him to cease all public commentary on their marital conflict and that he has already taken down videos he previously made on the matter.
“The Holy Spirit instructed me to put an end to the ongoing issue between my former wife and me. As a result, I have taken down every video I made about it, and I will not speak on it again,” Obinim stated.
The announcement marks a significant shift from the controversial clergy’s recent conduct, during which he made several self-recorded videos publicly addressing the breakdown of his marriage, accusing Florence of squandering his pastoral income, listing an extensive catalogue of properties he claims to have acquired for her including multiple luxury vehicles and houses in Ghana and Spain, and threatening to go to court to divide their assets if she denied ownership of the items.
Florence Obinim had also spoken publicly on the matter through various media appearances and through her associate, the Nightwitch, who made additional allegations against the bishop including claims about surveillance cameras installed in female family members’ rooms.
The dispute had captured national attention over the past week, generating significant commentary across Ghanaian social media and traditional media platforms alike.
It remained whether the announcement signals a genuine reconciliation or simply a unilateral withdrawal from public discourse by the bishop.
Florence Obinim had not responded to the announcement publicly.
