Akeem Adesola, the husband of Nigerian herb seller Eniola Sisialagbo, has finally spoken publicly following the controversy surrounding a leaked private video that recently went viral online.
His statement comes after his wife, Sisialagbo, earlier broke her silence and apologized publicly over the incident.
The controversy stirred massive reactions across social media after reports claimed the private video allegedly surfaced from a group chat before spreading online.
“I Take Full Responsibility” – Akeem
In a lengthy statement shared on Facebook on Thursday, April 30, Akeem Adesola accepted responsibility for the situation and expressed deep regret over the incident.
According to him, the controversy has brought embarrassment and disappointment not only to him but also to people connected to him.
Apology to Family and Supporters
Akeem also apologized to his family, friends, supporters, business associates, and religious leaders over the incident.
He admitted that his actions fell below the expectations of many people who had supported him and his family over the years.
“A Period of Reflection” – Akeem Says
Speaking further, Akeem stated that the incident has pushed him into a period of self-examination and reflection.
In his words: “I write with a deep sense of responsibility and sincere remorse to extend my heartfelt apologies to my family, friends, business associates, religious leaders, fans, loved ones, and the entire Nigerian public over the recent incident involving a leaked s×x scandal.
I acknowledge the disappointment, embarrassment, and concern this situation has caused, and I take full responsibility for my actions. I understand that my conduct has fallen short of the values and standards expected of me, especially by those who have trusted, supported, and believed in me over time.
To my family, I am truly sorry for the pain and distress this has brought upon you. To my friends and associates, I regret any negative impact this may have had on our relationships and shared reputation. To religious bodies and moral institutions, I recognize the weight of this misconduct and the need for accountability.
