Indian man shot dead during ‘fake’ pizza delivery in Philadelphia, family claims it was…, what exactly happened?

A 28-year-old Indian man from Telangana was shot dead in the United States after he went to deliver what is believed to be a fake pizza order. The incident took place in Philadelphia and has raised serious concerns about safety and the motive behind the killing.

The victim, Anshul Kuncha, had been living in the US for nearly four years. He worked for a multinational company and also took up part-time work as a pizza delivery executive on weekends to earn extra income.

Was the pizza order a planned trap?

According to his family, the order that led him to the location was fake and carefully planned. On Saturday night, Anshul received a delivery request to a deserted area. When he reached the spot, an unidentified attacker opened fire and shot him multiple times in the head before escaping.

His sister, Tanvi, claimed that the delivery was a “trap” meant to kill him. She said there was no one at the location to receive the order, and the entire setup appeared to be a decoy. Reports cited by the family suggest that two masked men carrying backpacks were seen near the area around the time of the attack.

Why was nothing stolen?

One of the most puzzling aspects of the case is that nothing was taken from Anshul. His belongings remained untouched, which has raised questions about whether the motive was robbery or something more targeted.

The family revealed that Anshul had earlier been a victim of robbery in the US, where he lost his chain, phone, and cash. However, this was the first time he faced a life-threatening situation.

What has the family demanded?

The grieving family has urged authorities to speed up the process of returning Anshul’s body to India so that last rites can be performed without delay. They have also demanded strict action against those responsible.

The Consulate General of India in New York has expressed condolences and confirmed that it is in touch with local authorities and the family, offering all possible assistance.
