The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has warned members of the public against a fraudulent recruitment message circulating online, claiming that the commission is recruiting and training ad-hoc staff for the 2027 General Election.
INEC, in a statement posted on its official X account, said the message directs prospective applicants to a website identified as “gvly.xyz/INEC-Ad-hoc-St…”, stressing that the information did not originate from the commission.
The electoral body said the website being circulated is not an official INEC recruitment portal and urged Nigerians not to click on the link, submit personal information, upload documents or make payments through the platform.
“THIS INFORMATION IS NOT FROM INEC,” the commission stated, warning members of the public to disregard the recruitment notice.
INEC advised Nigerians seeking authentic information on recruitment and election-related activities to rely only on its verified communication channels and official website, [INEC official website](https://www.inecnigeria.org/?utm_source=chatgpt.com).
The commission added that it had previously warned the public about fraudulent websites and fake recruitment advertisements falsely claiming to originate from INEC.
It urged Nigerians not to circulate the latest false notice and to exercise caution when responding to online recruitment advertisements purportedly linked to the commission.
