The 2027 Kaduna State governorship candidate of the ADC, Rt. Hon. Isa Mohammed Ashiru, has announced key appointments into his campaign council ahead of the election.
Ashiru named Dr John Markus Ayuba as Director-General, Hon. Bashir Ibrahim Sakadadi as Deputy Director-General (Operations), and Hon. Mukhtar Lawal Baloni as Secretary.
Ayuba, a former Kaduna State Commissioner for Finance and Water Resources, is expected to provide strategic leadership to the campaign. Ashiru described him as an academic, banker and experienced public servant with extensive political and stakeholder networks, particularly in Zangon Kataf and Southern Kaduna.
Sakadadi, identified as a grassroots political leader from the Sakadadi community in Sabon Gari, will oversee campaign operations and mobilisation, drawing on his experience in constituency and local-government engagement.
Baloni, a former Vice Chairman and Chairman of Kaduna North Local Government Area, was appointed campaign secretary.

Ashiru said his experience in local government administration, revenue generation, education, healthcare, humanitarian interventions and infrastructure would strengthen the campaign’s organisational capacity.
Ashiru said the appointments brought together “proven administrative competence, financial and academic depth, grassroots operational capacity, and local-government delivery experience.”
He said the team was expected to drive a focused, professional and people-oriented campaign ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
