Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, says the killing of senior ISIS leader Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, also known as Abu-Mainok, has dealt a major blow to the terrorist group’s operations in the Lake Chad region. Speaking during an interview on News Central TV, Musa said the operation disrupted the group’s plans and weakened its ability to carry out attacks. According to him, the terrorist leader had been part of efforts to expand ISIS influence in Africa, making his death a significant setback for the group.
Musa said the strike left the militants confused and disorganized, reducing their ability to coordinate attacks.
