Nollywood actor IK Ogbonna has emotionally reflected on the devastating loss of his longtime friend, Alexx, revealing how the tragedy has completely changed his perspective on life.
Speaking in a heartfelt video, the actor said the painful experience has taught him that life is far more fragile than many people realize.
According to IK, people often see ambulances speeding through traffic, offer a quick prayer or express sympathy, and then continue with their day because they assume the person inside is someone else’s loved one.
He explained that it is easy to believe tragedy only happens to other people until it suddenly becomes personal.
Reflecting on the uncertainty of life, the actor noted that many people live as though tomorrow is guaranteed, believing there will always be another birthday to celebrate, another Christmas to enjoy, another trip to take, another conversation to have, or another chance to tell someone, “I’ll see you next week.”
IK said the loss of his close friend has reminded him of the importance of cherishing loved ones, appreciating every moment, and never taking life for granted.
