Long Truck Topples Onto Sprinter Bus At Agbogbloshie Millennium Market, Driver Injured

A long truck has toppled over onto a parked Sprinter bus at the Agbogbloshie Millennium Market, leaving the bus driver injured in what has become the latest cautionary tale about vehicle safety in the busy commercial hub.

The bus driver was reportedly the only occupant of the vehicle at the time of the incident, a detail many are pointing to as fortunate given the extent of the damage visible in the aftermath.

He has since been rushed to hospital, where he is receiving treatment for injuries sustained when the weight of the truck came crashing down on his vehicle.

A video from the scene show the wooden-bodied cargo truck lying on its side, its load spilled across the area, with its trailer and undercarriage exposed near the crumpled remains of the bus it landed on.

Bystanders and traders in the busy market area can be seen gathering nearby to assess the damage and offer assistance in the moments following the incident.

Agbogbloshie, known for its heavy commercial and vehicular traffic, has seen similar road mishaps in the past, often attributed to poorly maintained vehicles, overloaded trucks, and the tight, congested nature of the market’s road network.

Authorities have not yet released a full account of what caused the truck to fall, and questions remain about whether mechanical failure, overloading, or road conditions played a role in the incident.

Further updates on the driver’s condition and the cause of the accident are expected as investigations continue.
