According to him, the Prophet’s teachings continue to offer guidance on promoting peace, tolerance and the pursuit of the common good.
Obi urged Muslims and other Nigerians to use the occasion to reflect on the values of unity and fairness, irrespective of ethnic, religious or regional differences.
“As we commemorate this sacred day, I pray that Allah (SWT) grants us the wisdom to follow the noble path of the Prophet; a path of unity, fairness, and love for one another, regardless of tribe, religion, or region,” he said.
The 2027 NDC presidential candidate also prayed for renewed hope, peace and progress in Nigeria, while calling for divine guidance for the country’s leaders.
“May this Maulud bring renewed hope, peace, and progress to our nation. May Allah bless Nigeria, protect our people, and guide our leaders to serve with sincerity and justice,” Obi said.
