Afrobeats singer Mayorkun made a return to the Lagos stage on Sunday, captivating fans with a lively performance at the Lagos Mainland Block Party held at Club Mainland on Adeniran Ogunsanya Street.
The singer, whose real name is Adewale Emmanuel, drew cheers from the crowd as he took the stage in a black jacket and opened his set with some of his hit songs.
He later performed his trending collaboration, “B4 B4”, featuring Davido and FOLA, which has continued to attract attention among music fans since its release.
The performance also featured “The Best”, Mayorkun’s earlier collaboration with Davido, as well as fan favourites including “Geng” and other songs from his catalogue.

The audience sang along to the familiar lyrics throughout the performance, adding to the atmosphere at the event.
Speaking to the crowd, Mayorkun said he was delighted to be back performing in Lagos and reconnecting with his fans after spending some time away from the music scene.
“I was excited to return to the Lagos stage and reunite with my fans again. It feels good to be back and to see the love and energy from the people who have supported me,” he said.
Mayorkun’s appearance was one of the highlights of the event, which also featured performances by singer Terry Apala and indigenous rapper Reminisce, popularly known as Alaga Ibile.
His return to the Lagos stage comes as “B4 B4” continues to generate buzz, with the collaboration also renewing interest in his musical relationship with Davido.
Mayorkun previously signed with Davido’s DMW label before leaving to pursue his career independently. Their latest collaboration marks another reunion between the two artistes, whose musical partnership dates back to the early years of Mayorkun’s career.
