A basic school teacher has expressed heartfelt appreciation to her students after receiving an outpouring of gifts and Mobile Money contributions during her school’s “Our Day” celebration.
“Help me appreciate my learners. Just look at the number of gifts they presented to me on ‘Our Day.’ The Mobile Money alerts alone were beyond count,” she said, sharing images of the array of items received, including beverages, canned goods, biscuits, spaghetti, and other food items.
“Our Day” celebrations are a common tradition in Ghanaian basic schools, typically involving students bringing gifts, food, and other tokens of appreciation for their teachers as part of end-of-term or special school events.
The specific school, the teacher’s identity, and the total value of the gifts and contributions received have not been independently verified.
The teacher flaunted all the items she received which included drinks, yam, a handbag, toiletries, biscuits etc.
