Members of the Examination Panel for the Captain to Major Written Promotion Examination 2026 have been advised by Major General Peter Malla, Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA), to maintain honesty, professionalism, and equity.
Speaking on May 3, 2026, at the Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport in Benin City, the Commander—who also holds the position of Examination President—emphasized the importance of discipline and openness for the exercise’s legitimacy.
He cautioned against making any concessions and emphasized that candidates’ leadership, critical thinking, and capacity to handle current security issues must all be thoroughly evaluated.
In keeping with the Chief of Army Staff’s Command Philosophy of creating a more professional, flexible, combat-ready, and resilient force, he pointed out that the exam is essential in training officers for greater duties.
He also gave the exam panel members explicit instructions to follow the Nigerian Army Charter for Promotion Examinations 2022 (Revised), expressed confidence in a reliable result, and thanked the Chief of Army Staff for his assistance.
Earlier, Major General Adebayo Adegbite, the host and commandant, reiterated the institution’s dedication to a successful exercise and referred to hosting the exam as a pleasure.
