Siraheem Okoya, son of Nigerian billionaire businessman Razaq Okoya, has announced his decision to quit releasing new music, bringing an end to his active career in the music industry.
Okoya made the announcement in a statement posted on his Instagram page on Wednesday, reflecting on his musical journey and thanking his fans, colleagues and supporters who contributed to his experience in the industry.
He described the past few years as “a magical one,” recalling performances at major live shows and the recognition he received from artistes he had grown up admiring.
“I never imagined I’d one day be recognized by the very artists I grew up admiring. To you, I owe that and I’m grateful beyond words,” he said.
Okoya explained that music initially began as a hobby he shared with his friends, describing it as a means of bonding and connection before it developed into a professional pursuit.
“My career began simply, music was a hobby I made with my boys as a means of bonding and connection before it was anything else,” he said.
However, he said balancing music with his other commitments had become increasingly difficult over the past year, making it harder for him to give the craft the level of dedication he believed it deserved.
“I’ve always believed in giving everything my best and I no longer feel I can give this craft the effort, patience, and dedication it truly deserves,” he said.
The artiste said he therefore felt compelled to make what he described as a “professional exit” from the industry.

“So I owe it to my true fans, and to my colleagues in this industry a professional exit, I have decided to stop putting out new music,” he said.
He expressed gratitude to everyone who supported his career, including those who invested resources and belief in his musical ambitions.
“To everyone who supported me, who put resources and belief behind me: thank you. I am truly grateful for the chance to chase one of my dreams all the way here,” Okoya said.
While announcing the end of the “Siraheem music” era, he stressed that his creative ambitions remain intact, revealing plans to explore other fields.
“The ‘siraheem music’ era may be closing, but the creative in me is still hungry for new challenges, still reaching. The future stays positive,” he said.
“I have plans to diversify my creative palette into other fields and I will be back with new ventures.”
Despite his decision to stop releasing new music, Okoya said he may still release an album recorded over the past year.
“Music still remains therapeutic for me. With time, maybe the album finds its way into the world somehow after all,” he said.
He added that he believes the unreleased material represents some of the best work of his career.
“This past year, we’ve been locked in and I believe I’m sitting on the best material of my career, it will be a shame to never share it,” he said.
Concluding his message, Okoya left the door open for a possible return to music, saying, “Who knows what the future still holds. Never say never.”
He also thanked his community and two associates, Mr. Fantasy and Mr. Miyagi, for their role in what he described as “the rollercoaster of this unforgettable year.”
