Nigerian Navy Disclaims Fake 2026 Batch 39 Recruitment Notice

The Nigerian Navy has disowned a recruitment notice circulating on social media, purportedly announcing its 2026 Batch 39 recruitment exercise.

In a statement issued on Monday by Director of Naval Information Nigerian Navy, Abiodun Folornsho noted that the notice was not authorised and should not be regarded as an official recruitment announcement.

“The Nigerian Navy states that the notice, as circulated, is not an authorised publication and should not be trusted as an official recruitment announcement,” the statement signed by the Director of Naval Information, Captain Abiodun Folorunsho, said.

The Navy urged prospective applicants and members of the public to disregard recruitment information obtained from unofficial social media accounts, websites and other unauthorised sources.

It said official information on recruitment, including eligibility requirements, application procedures, timelines and categories, would only be communicated through its authorised channels.

The Navy also warned the public against making payments to individuals, agents or unauthorised platforms in connection with recruitment, stressing that the exercise is free.

“The Nigerian Navy does not authorise third parties to recruit applicants or collect recruitment fees on its behalf,” it said.

The Navy advised prospective applicants to rely on its official recruitment website, joinnigeriannavy.navy.mil.ng, and its official website, navy.mil.ng, for verified information.

It reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a transparent and credible recruitment process and providing timely and accurate information through its official communication channels.
