A Minnesota nurse and her two adult sons have been found dead inside their family home.
Police discovered Jamie Lee Charles, 43, Jaymison Samuel Shaw, 22, and William “Willie” Samuel Shaw Jr., 19, on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
Officers visited the townhouse on 78th Street East in Inver Grove Heights after receiving a request to check on someone inside.
All three family members were dead when officers entered the home.
Police Chief Melissa Chiodo said preliminary findings indicate that the incident was a double murder-suicide.
Investigators identified Jaymison as the suspected attacker.
Police believe he killed his mother and younger brother before taking his own life.
Authorities have not disclosed how the three died or what may have caused the incident.
Police said the incident remained inside the home and there was no continuing threat to the public.
Jamie had worked as a nurse at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System for about nine years.
Family members described her as a loving mother whose life centred on her children.
Willie graduated from Simley High School in 2025 and played basketball at the school.
The family has launched a fundraiser to help cover funeral and memorial expenses.
Police and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office are continuing their investigations.
