Former National Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Peter Ojonugwa Ameh, has congratulated Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate and former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, on his 65th birthday, describing him as an incorruptible leader and a symbol of hope for Nigeria.
In a goodwill message issued to mark Obi’s birthday, Ameh praised the former governor for what he described as his unwavering commitment to integrity, discipline, accountability, and prudent governance.
According to Ameh, Obi has remained a shining example of ethical leadership in a country where corruption has become a major challenge, noting that his consistency in promoting transparency and financial discipline has inspired millions of Nigerians, particularly young people.
He said Obi’s leadership style demonstrates that it is possible to serve the nation with honesty and a clear conscience, while prioritising national development over personal interests.
Ameh further stated that Obi’s advocacy for responsible governance and efficient management of public resources continues to give Nigerians hope that a better future is achievable through competent and principled leadership.
“As you mark this milestone, we draw fresh hope from the example you represent. You embody the belief that character still matters, that competence and integrity can transform our society, and that one man’s dedication can ignite the dreams of an entire generation,” he said.
He prayed for God’s continued blessings upon Obi, wishing him many more years of good health, wisdom, and impactful service to the nation.
Ameh concluded by describing Obi as “not just a leader, but a symbol of hope” and urged Nigerians who believe in ethical leadership to celebrate the former Anambra governor on his 65th birthday.
