Security operatives were visibly present at polling centers and strategic locations across constituencies to ensure a peaceful exercise. However, our correspondents across the state report that the deployment was not militarised, allowing residents and voters to move freely without hindrance.

The orderly conduct of election officials and security personnel contributed to a calm atmosphere, as voters patiently queued to exercise their civic responsibility.

As of the time of filing this report, voting has commenced in many polling units, with no major incidents recorded.

Observers expressed optimism that the peaceful atmosphere and adherence to electoral procedures would enhance the credibility of the election outcome.
