The Nigeria Police Force has arraigned three men before the Federal High Court in Abuja over an alleged $100,000 fraud linked to a failed auto spare parts transaction dating back to 2009.
The suspects, George Ali, Anthony Ali and Simon Ali, were arraigned by the Force through the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB), Abuja.
They are facing allegations of criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust and obtaining by false pretences.
According to the police, preliminary investigations revealed that the complainant allegedly transferred $100,000 to the suspects in 2009 for the purchase and shipment of auto spare parts from the United States.
The police said the transaction was allegedly not completed as agreed and that the funds were subsequently diverted.
Following an investigation by operatives of INTERPOL NCB Abuja, the suspects were brought before the Federal High Court, Court 6, Maitama, Abuja.
The case was subsequently adjourned until December 3, 2026, for further hearing.
The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, said the police remained committed to investigating financial crimes and other offences and ensuring that suspects were brought before the appropriate judicial authorities in accordance with the law.
