The police in Bauchi have detained a suspect for allegedly trespassing and stealing three television sets at the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) office in the metropolis.
This is contained in a statement signed by spokesman of the command, SP Nafiu Habib, on Monday in Bauchi.
He said the suspect connived with his accomplice, who is now at large, burgled the premises and carted away three television sets valued at N400,000.
Habib said operatives of the command under “E” Division Yelwa, apprehended the suspect on May 3.
The spokesman said the police recovered three stolen televisions, adding that the suspect would be charged to court on completion of investigations.
Habib quoted the Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, as reiterating commitment to safeguard lives and property in the state.
