The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed as fake a social media publication directing prospective Police Constable recruits to report for training on September 18, 2026.
The Force, in a disclaimer posted on its official X page, said the circulating publication did not originate from the Nigeria Police Force and should be disregarded by prospective recruits.
“The Nigeria Police Force wishes to state that the said publication is not an official communication of the Force and should be disregarded,” the statement said.
The police urged all prospective trainees to obtain recruitment and training information only through their respective recruitment portals and the Force’s official communication channels.

“All prospective trainees are advised to rely solely on information communicated through their respective recruitment portals and the official communication channels of the Nigeria Police Force for verified and authentic updates regarding the recruitment and training exercise,” the Force said.
The police also appealed to members of the public to stop sharing unverified information that could create confusion among prospective recruits.
“Members of the public are equally urged to refrain from circulating unverified information capable of causing confusion or misleading prospective recruits,” the statement added.
The disclaimer comes amid the ongoing Police Constable recruitment process, with the Force advising applicants to verify any information concerning training dates, venues and other recruitment-related developments through its authorised channels.
