The Premier League has announced broadcast selections and revised dates for fixtures to be played during the festive period, covering match rounds 17 to 20 from December 26 to January 7, 2027.
The League said on its official website that the announcement followed an agreement with its broadcast partners to bring forward the selection process for live UK matches across the festive period.
The Premier League said the early announcement would give supporters more than three months to plan their travel arrangements during what is traditionally one of the busiest periods of the season.
“This fixture announcement gives supporters more than three months’ notice to plan and make travel arrangements for a particularly busy time of the year and follows consultation with the Football Supporters’ Association and representatives from club Fan Advisory Boards,” the League said.
There will be seven Premier League matches played on Boxing Day this season, while clubs will have at least a 60-hour break between fixtures throughout the Christmas and New Year period.
The League said the scheduling was consistent with commitments made to clubs to address the congested festive calendar amid an expanding European and international fixture schedule.
Broadcast selections for match rounds in November are due to be announced in the week commencing September 21, 2026, while selections for December fixtures will be announced in the week commencing October 19, 2026.
