Sanwo-Olu Commissions New Hostel Facilities for Lagos Nursing Students

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has commissioned new hostel facilities at the Lagos State College of Nursing, Igando, as part of efforts to improve the learning and living conditions of student nurses in the state.

Sanwo-Olu disclosed this in a post on his official X account, where he said the new facilities would provide students with a safe and modern environment while undergoing their training.

The governor said investing in better accommodation for student nurses was also an investment in the future of healthcare delivery across Lagos State.

“Today, I commissioned new hostel facilities at the Lagos State College of Nursing, Igando.”

Sanwo-Olu said providing appropriate accommodation would enable healthcare trainees to have a conducive environment to live, study and develop professionally.

“Providing a safe and modern living environment for our student nurses is an investment in the future of healthcare across Lagos.”

He added that improving the conditions available to healthcare professionals in training would have wider benefits for the communities they would eventually serve.

“When our training healthcare professionals have the right space to live, study and thrive, the entire community benefits.”

The governor said the state government remained committed to delivering projects designed to improve the quality of life of residents and address practical needs across different sectors.

“We are staying focused on delivering practical improvements that touch real lives.”

Sanwo-Olu further said the commissioning of the hostel facilities represented another step towards the administration’s broader vision for Lagos State.

“Every new facility brings us one step closer to the strong, reliable Lagos we are building together.”
