Yakubu Muhammad Kingsley has picked the presidential nomination form of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) ahead of the 2027 general election.
Naijaonpoint reports that the form was obtained on Thursday at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.
Kingsly, popularly known as YMK, said he was ready to contest Nigeria’s highest office against President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking after receiving the form, YMK said his decision to join the race was driven by the desire to see Nigeria work better and improve the living standards of citizens.
He said he wanted to ensure that things were done properly in the country.
The Director-General of the YMK Campaign Organisation, Aliyu Abdullahi Jibia, described the purchase of the nomination form as a demonstration of seriousness and commitment to rebuilding Nigeria.
Jibia said the choice of the PRP was informed by the party’s ideology and its long-standing commitment to the welfare of ordinary Nigerians and the less privileged.
He said, “We have shown the world today that we are the Peoples Redemption Party, and we are going to contest on the platform of the party.”
Women Urged To Mobilise
The National Women Leader of the YMK campaign, Maryam Ringim, urged Nigerian women and party supporters across the country to intensify grassroots mobilisation and membership registration ahead of the PRP primaries.
She said women remained critical stakeholders in political mobilisation and urged them to support the candidate ahead of the 2027 elections.
Ringim assured supporters that, if elected president, YMK would run an inclusive administration focused on women’s and youth empowerment.
