Stakeholders under the aegis of Rivers Professionals (RIVPRO) have expressed support for the emergence of Ogundu Kingsley Chinda as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, describing him as a leader capable of promoting inclusive governance.
The group urged residents and political stakeholders across the state to support Chinda, stating that he possesses the competence, experience, and leadership capacity needed to run an all-inclusive administration if elected governor.
In a statement issued by RIVPRO’s Director of Publicity, Nimi Solomon, the organisation described Chinda’s emergence as a positive development and a step toward responsible and competent leadership in Rivers State.
Solomon said the group was particularly impressed by Chinda’s professional background, administrative depth, and detribalised approach to leadership, which he noted aligns with the aspirations of many Rivers people for a government that accommodates all interests and groups.
According to him, Chinda’s leadership style and broad-minded disposition place him in a strong position to foster unity, fairness, and inclusive governance across the state.
He said: “Chinda’s reputation as an astute and detribalized professional has earned him respect across ethnic, professional, and political lines.
“Rivers State needs a leader, whose vision transcends divisions and whose commitment to service is anchored on merit, fairness, and development.
“Hon. O. K. Chinda is an astute, detribalized professional with the leadership experience required to move Rivers State forward. His emergence signals a refreshing shift toward competence, integrity, and inclusive governance”.
Solomon expressed confidence that, if elected, Chinda would bring accountability, innovation, and people‑centered governance to the state.
He reaffirmed RIVPRO’s support for credible leadership and urged Rivers people to embrace the opportunity for progress.
